Author Guidelines

  1. Articles must be new writings in English and it have never been published before and typed on A4 paper following the writing style as shown in template-icon

  2. The article structure includes Title, Author Identity, Abstract, INTRODUCTION, METHODS, RESULTS AND DISCUSSION, CONCLUSION, and REFERENCES.
    1. Title of the article must not exceed 15 words.

    2. Author Identity consists of all names, emails and addresses of the article authors. Author names are listed without academic titles.

    3. Abstract is written in English. The length of the abstract is 75-250 words, while keywords are 3-5 words. The abstract contains the background of the problem, research/creation objectives, research/creation methods, research/creation results and discussion, and conclusions in one paragraph.

    4. INTRODUCTION contains the background of the existing problems and the research/creation objectives. All parts of the introduction are presented in an integrated manner in the form of paragraphs, with length.

      Present the state of the art/overview of previous research (from scientific journal literature of the last 5 years) to support/strengthen the statement of novelty contribution justification. State of the art shows existing previous research that is relevant to the topic being raised, as well as what has not been studied (gap analysis or gap analysis between research that does not yet exist and what already exists). Also make sure to clearly state the novelty or statement of the article's novelty contradiction. Do not take from Wikipedia. Clearly state the research objectives or study objectives at the end of the Introduction.

    5. METHODS. In this section, describe the research/creation stages that have been carried out. If the article is a Creation, then it contains the creation stages performed. If the article is a research result, then it contains the research design, data sources, data collection techniques, data validity techniques, and analysis techniques used by the researcher.

    6. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION in the article

      • research results contain a presentation of analysis results related to the research objectives
      • creation work results (hasil karya penciptaan) contain a presentation of findings on the reliability of theories in creating the creation work.

      In this section, findings in the research/creation are also presented.

    7. CONCLUSION contains research/creation findings that are answers to research questions or the essence of the discussion results. Conclusions are presented in narrative form.

    8. REFERENCES contain references with a minimum of 10 references with 80% being primary sources (journals) that are less than 5 years old. The reference list only includes sources that are cited, and all cited sources must be listed in the references.

      We require authors to use reference tools such as MendeleyZotero.

  3. All tables and figures in the article are numbered according to their order of appearance (example: Table 1, Figure 1, and so on). Table numbers and titles are placed above the table and center-aligned, while figure titles and numbers are placed below the figure and center-aligned. Diagrams are considered figures. Figures and Tables must be referenced in the paragraph.

  4. Referencing and citation use the American Psychological Association 7th edition system, more details can be seen on the APA Style Reference Examples. . We recommend using reference tools such as MendeleyZotero.

  5. Articles (in .doc/.docx format) that have been written according to the journal's template  template-icon, should be submitted to the journal editor along with the following documents: 

    1. JIMK Copyright Agreement  (format *.pdf)
    2. JIMK Publication Ethics (format *.pdf)

    These last two documents should be uploaded in the Supplementary Files section during the article submission process.
    The maximum file size for manuscripts and supplementary files that can be uploaded is 2MB.
    Note:

    If the Article is not formatted according to the template, the article will be automatically rejected.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file follows  JIMK Template, the text full fill the the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, and the file is in OpenOffice/Libreoffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format (*.doc/*.docx).
  • Size of Submission file is less than 2MB
  • These files :

    1. JIMK Copyright Agreement  (format *.pdf)
    2. JIMK Publication Ethics (format *.pdf)

    have been filled and signed, and will be uploaded in  Supplementary Files section form 

  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
